GME Updates

CMS has specified the documentation for determining where and how much time a resident spends in training in each hospital or non-provider site. They have recommended that hospitals furnish Medicare auditors with rotations schedules that are "official (i.e., based on the approval of the program director) that is similar for all hospitals to which the residents in the program rotate, and that is auditable." This documentation must contain "each resident's rotation to multiple sites."

Our MERITS® program is a multi-functional software application that provides the required standardized rotation schedule report to fulfill these requirements. Additionally MERITS® prepares the IRIS files necessary for filing the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, and assists with multi-facility rotation tracking.
